„The ECPMF’s Journalists-in-Residence programme showed me that solidarity and support amongst journalists is not only a word. It is real and it exists. Now I’m sure that I will never walk alone, and journalism is still very important, and I know many people who believe in it in the same way, and who could fight alongside me. After my stay in Leipzig I‘m feeling more empowered to continue as a journalist and as a person. This programme is like reminding all the world, all the journalists all over the world and also yourself, that journalism is not a crime. To pursue the truth is the most important thing for all societies and journalism is a very important profession for the whole of society. For surely it is very important to remind everyone what you have done as a journalist and never give up fighting for yourself and also for your colleagues all over the world. We are strong, if we stand together.“
