Calls for applications are announced on www.ecpmf.eu and the ECPMF’s social media once or twice a year and are also disseminated throughout the Centre’s European networks.
The documents you need, like the application form and an additional questionnaire, will be provided on our website as soon as the call is announced. The regular application process requires you to complete these two documents and send them, together with your CV and a copy of the relevant valid identity documents, to journalistsinresidence@ecpmf.eu. After a comprehensive review process, the selected fellows will be invited to Leipzig for the upcoming JiR period.
ECPMF takes over appropriate cases of media professionals at risk that have already been fact-checked by its network partners and provide relocation fellowships in Leipzig to enable a swift reaction to urgent cases.
For this purpose, please get in contact with the JiR Programme Manager at journalistsinresidence@ecpmf.eu

Over the past years the ECPMF hosted a large group of journalists. You will find a selective list about our JiR-Alumni here.
As part of the MFRR, we have launched a residency programme in Milan, Italy, coordinated by Osservatorio Balcani e Caucaso Transeuropa (OBCT) and Q Code for at-risk journalists and media workers based in Italy.
The impact of COVID-19 on international travel and the impossibility to forecast the Italian situation in the next months, has lead Q Code Mag to open this call to journalists and media workers based and professionally active in Italy.
The offer includes a three-month residency in Milan and the development of a tailored support programme. Journalists and media workers of any nationality who are experiencing some risk/threat/intimidation to their person as a direct result of their journalistic work are eligible for this programme.
For more information and to apply visit the Q Code website (information available in English and Italian)
