(Journalist, Azerbaijan, JiR in 2026)

“Extreme stress, psychological difficulties, financial instability, and forced displacement… These were the primary anxieties that had become central to my life before joining the JiR program. They are all so deeply interconnected. The six months I spent in this program became a cure for me. Every problem I faced gradually fell into place. They transformed someone who, at 32, had lost all hope in life, back into a person who can love the world again.

During these 6 months, I not only restored my inner peace but also gained a great opportunity to focus on my professional creativity. The program did not just provide emotional support; it also created the necessary conditions for me to do journalism once again in a free and safe environment. Realising that I did not have to face these hardships entirely on my own gave me the strength to look to the future with confidence. Now, I no longer view the obstacles in my path with despair, but rather as manageable tasks to be solved. This transformation has proven to me that, with the right support and a safe environment, a new and stronger beginning is always possible after any crisis.”
