“Many journalists have been left without work in Ukraine during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war. The sphere of mass media found itself in the following situation: most of the central TV news channels united into a single marathon which broadcasts the events of the war and the situation at the front every day; and communal regional TV and Internet news – including independent regional media, mass media, and internet publications – exist only through the financial resources and grants of European international organisations.

This suggests that the war caused an economic crisis and media and journalists now need both moral and financial support. Participation in the ECPMF Journalists-in-Residence programme is a unique opportunity to receive psychological, emotional, and professional support for journalists from Ukraine during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war.”
